Ledger Live Download

Download Ledger Live Securely

The single most important step in securing your crypto is downloading Ledger Live **only** from the official, verified source. Do not rely on search engines or third-party links.

CRITICAL SECURITY WARNING: Phishing Danger

NEVER download Ledger Live from sites found via a Google search, social media ads, or unsolicited emails. These are often malicious clones designed to steal your 24-word Recovery Phrase.

Always verify the URL or use the official app stores, as detailed below.

Official Download Link

Desktop Installation (Windows, macOS, Linux)

The desktop version is necessary for initial setup, firmware updates, and installing crypto apps onto your Ledger device.

Windows icon

Windows

Download the `.exe` installer directly from the official Ledger website's download page. Run the installer and follow the on-screen prompts. Ensure you are running a supported version of Windows (usually Windows 8.1 64-bit or newer).

macOS icon

macOS

Download the `.dmg` file. Open it and drag the Ledger Live application icon into your Applications folder. This is the standard procedure for Mac software installation.

Linux icon

Linux

Ledger typically provides an AppImage file. Download the `.AppImage` file and make it executable (you might need to use the `chmod +x` command in the terminal) before running it.

Mobile Installation (Android & iOS)

The mobile app is perfect for checking balances and managing your assets on the go, especially when paired with a Ledger Nano X via Bluetooth.

Android icon

Android (Google Play)

Search for **"Ledger Live"** directly within the Google Play Store. Verify that the publisher is **Ledger SAS** before clicking install.

Go to Google Play
iOS icon

iOS (App Store)

Search for **"Ledger Live"** in the Apple App Store. Confirm the developer listed is **Ledger SAS** before initiating the download.

Mandatory Post-Installation Check

After installing, before connecting your device, perform this final verification to ensure authenticity:

Verify Digital Signature

The Ledger Live application files (on desktop operating systems) are cryptographically signed by Ledger SAS.

  • **Windows:** Right-click the `.exe` file, select Properties > Digital Signatures. The signature name should be **Ledger SAS**.
  • **macOS:** Right-click the application icon and select Get Info. Under the General section, the Developer should be listed as **Ledger SAS**.

If the signature name is anything else, delete the file immediately and re-download from the official source.

Once Ledger Live is launched, you will be guided through setting up a new device or restoring an existing one. Remember, the **Ledger Live app will never ask you to type your 24-word Recovery Phrase** on your computer screen—this phrase should only be entered directly into the Ledger hardware device itself during setup or recovery.

Ready to Connect Your Device?

Once installed, open the application and follow the steps to pair your Ledger Nano and begin securing your crypto.
